Samuels led the Griffs to a 2-0-0 week, helping the team to back-to-back MAAC victories for the first time since 2009. The senior totaled five points during the week on two goals and one assist. In Wednesday’s victory over Rider, Samuels matched his career high with three points, scoring a goal and adding an assist. He then helped the Griffs to their first regular-season victory against first-place Iona since 2004 with a first half-goal against the Gaels, ending Iona’s 419:33 shutout streak. Samuels now leads the Griffs with 14 points and six goals this season.
