Offensive Player of the Week

Amanda Schoenfeld, Monmouth

Sr., F, 4’11, West Sayville, N.Y./Connetquot


Amanda Schoenfeld registered six points on three goals, while getting credited with two game-winners, in a weekend that the Hawks score a pair of wins against Penn and Rutgers.  Schoenfeld posted her first multi-goal game of her career at Penn, scoring two goals in the first 16 minutes of the game to stake the Blue and White to a two-goal lead.  On Sunday, the senior got the scoring started five minutes into the game capitalizing on a turnover inside the offensive circle. The forward collected the loose ball and blasted a shot that deflected off the defenders stick and high into the cage to put Monmouth ahead, 1-0.  The forward has found the back of the cage for the third time in the last four games to increase her season goal total to seven, tying a career-high in a season.

Defensive Player of the Week

Joelle Prettyman, Rider

Jr., GK, 5’6, Newark, Del./St. Mark’s

Prettyman played every minute of the Broncs games this week and allowed only two goals, compiling a goals against average of 0.87 in Rider’s 2-0 week. Against Colgate, Prettyman made five saves and at Vermont she added four more, including stopping a point blank shot during the seven on seven overtime period right before Rider scored the game-winner.


Rookie of the Week

Meg Donahue, Monmouth

Fr., F, 5’3, Wyomissing, Pa./Berks Catholic

Meg Donahue continued her stellar rookie campaign by extending her point streak to five-straight games with a goal and an assist last weekend.  In the victory at Penn, Donahue assisted on Amanda Schoenfeld’s first goal of the game and struck for her sixth goal of the season against the Scarlet Knights.  Donahue dribbled in along the left side and ripped a shot that went high into the netting to put the Hawks ahead by two goals with under 10 minutes left in the first half.  The goal marked the fourth time she has scored in her last five games.
