Siena Duo Named MAAC Women's Basketball Players of the Week

Tehresa Coles, Siena

Senior guard Tehresa Coles erupted for a game-high 23 points in leading the Saints to a convincing win in their only game of the week, a 79-57 throttling of Central Connecticut in the home opener Wednesday at the ARC. Coles shot an impressive 69.2% (9-13) from the floor, while also connecting on all three of her three-point attempts. She also contributed four rebounds and two steals in leading the Saints to the program’s best start in 14 years.
Rookie of the Week
Margot Hetzke, Siena
Fr., F, 5-11, Penfield, N.Y./Penfield
Hetzke just missed her second straight double-double to begin her collegiate career, posting nine points and 10 rebounds in the Saints’ lone game of the week, a 79-57 throttling of Central Connecticut in the Saints’ home opener Wednesday at the ARC. Hetzke shot 50% from the field and added three assists and a block in helping guide the Saints to the program’s best start in 14 years.
