The reigning MAAC Rookie of the Week came up big for the Bobcats on Friday as she scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory that ensured a berth in the MAAC Tournament for Quinnipiac. Cirera continued her hot streak with her third goal of the season against Sacred Heart. She carried the ball into the circle and was first stopped on her initial shot attempt but found the rebound moving away from the cage and blasted a shot to the opposite post for the goal. The game-winning goal is the second in Cirera’s career. The freshman played 99 of the possible 140 minutes over the weekend. She also tallied four shots-on-goal to lead the team in shots for the second straight weekend.
