Tori Jarosz, Marist

Tori Jarosz averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 2 steals in two games and her first game action of the year for the Red Foxes. Returning from injury the redshirt senior center made an immediate impact starting on Friday against Monmouth. Jarosz recorded 20 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals in just 17 minutes in a Red Fox victory. On Sunday against Rider Jarosz would again make an impact on offense and defense recording 17 points and 6 rebounds to go along with 3 blocks and 2 steals in 18 minutes. The Red Foxes would go on to win both games this weekend and improve to 2-0 in the MAAC.
Rookie of the Week
Casey Smith, Fairfield
So., F, 6-2, Danbury, Conn./Danbury
Casey Smith averaged 14 points per game and shot 42 percent from the floor in Fairfield’s 1-1 week. Smith, who had 14 points in each game, shot 45 percent from the floor against Siena and added two assists without a turnover. Smith kept the Stags alive by going 4-5 from the line in the win. Smith also had 4 assists and 11 rebounds on the weekend, with four boards on the offensive glass.
