MAAC Offensive Player of the Week
Colin Joka, Marist College
Jr., A, 5-10, 175, Conshohocken, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh
Joka scored a career-high seven goals for the Red Foxes in their 13-12 victory over Stony Brook University on Friday. Joka is now tied for third in program history for most goals scored in a single game. He attempted 12 shots with eight on goal, and seven went in. The junior also picked up one ground ball and caused one turnover.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
Alex Govenettio, Canisius College
Jr., GK, 5-10, 165, Derby, N.Y./Lake Shore HS
Govenettio anchored a strong Canisius defense to victory over Boston University on Saturday. The junior recorded 11 saves, while yielding just three goals for a .786 save percentage, which is currently the highest in the country. The three goals are the fewest allowed by Canisius since a 9-3 victory over Mount St. Mary's in 2009.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Jordan Barlow, Siena College
Fr., A, 5-9, 155, Glastonbury, Conn./Kingswood-Oxford
Barlow scored his first four collegiate goals including the game-winner in the Saints’ 12-7 road win at Hobart College Saturday. He scored on four of the five shots he took and added a man-up goal.
