Offensive Player of the Week
Melanie Raso, Fairfield
Sr., Midfield/Attack, 5-4, Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale
Melanie Raso tallied a combined seven goals in the Stags’ two home victories against Lehigh and Vermont this past week. In the March 4 win over Lehigh, Raso scored four of the team’s seven goals, one of which was the game-winner. Two of her goals resulted from free position shots and she also tallied three draw controls. Raso was instrumental in handing Vermont their first loss of the year on March 8, by scoring three goals for Fairfield. Raso converted her only free position shot into a goal and tallied five draw controls for the Stags.
Defensive Player of the Week
Chelsey Sidaras, Fairfield

Goalkeeper Chelsey Sidaras tallied a combined 10 saves in the Stags’ two home victories against Lehigh and Vermont this past week. Against Lehigh on March 4, Sidaras faced eight shots, made one save, and caused one turnover. In the March 8 victory over Vermont, she faced 23 shots and tallied nine saves. Between the two games Sidaras played the full 120 minutes and earned a save percentage of .417.
Rookie of the Week
Claudia LaMarca, Monmounth
Fr., Midfield, 5-11, West Long Branch, N.J./Shore Regional
LaMarca notched a pair of goals in Monmouth's 13-4 win over local rival Wagner on Saturday. Coming off the bench the midfielder put the Hawks up 6-0 with her unassisted marker with 49 seconds left in the first half. The West Long Branch native scored the first goal of the second half, this time on a free position attempt at the 24:27 mark. LaMarca, who also had a draw control in the contest, is fourth on the Hawks in goals scored this season.
