Richie Hurley, Siena College

The nation’s 12th leading scorer entering the week, Hurley added five more points as the Saints rallied from a five-goal second half deficit to post an 11-10 quadruple overtime road win at Hartford Saturday. Hurley scored all of his game-high five points in the second half as Siena overcame a 7-2 third quarter hole. He posted his third hat trick of the season and added two assists while picking up a season-high four groundballs. The red-shirt junior attackman scored three or more points in all five games during Siena’s season-opening road trip and is averaging 4.8 points per game.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
Tommy Cordts, Siena College

Cortds made a career-high 16 saves, stopping 61.5% of the shots he faced in the Saints’ 11-10 quadruple overtime road win at Hartford Saturday. He stopped 14 of the Hawks’ final 18 shots on goal over the last 60 minutes, allowing the Saints to rally from a five-goal second half deficit to pull out the win. His final save – a point blank stop late in the fourth and final overtime – led to a successful clear and the game-winning sudden victory goal.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Jason Weber, University of Detroit Mercy
Fr., G, 5-11, 177, Whitby, Ont. / Christ School (N.C.)
The freshman goalie posted a .623 save percentage and a 10.00 goals against average in making 33 saves in two games. Weber has been great since taking over three games ago as he posted his second win of the season by recording a season-high 18 saves on the road at Wagner. He allowed just three goals in the second half and also finished with four ground balls. Weber made his most important save with the man down with 30 seconds left in regulation as his stop led to a fast break and the Titans’ game-winning goal in the 9-8 victory. He started the week with 15 saves in a tough 12-8 setback to Bellarmine University.
