Offensive Player of the Week

Jamie Romano, Marist

Sr., Midfielder, 5-11, Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park

Jamie Romano scored five of Marist’s 10 goals in its 10-5 triumph over Bucknell on Wednesday, Mar. 12. The senior midfielder scored on all five of her shots on goal. She also collected one ground ball in the win.

Defensive Player of the Week

Abigail Witczak, Marist 

Fr., GK, 5-2, Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham

Abigail Witczak helped her team improve to 4-2 on the year with a 10-5 win over Bucknell. Witczak made eight saves for the Red Foxes in 60 minutes of play, posting a 61.5 save percentage. She also collected one ground ball in the win.

Rookie of the Week

Riley Hellstein, Fairfield 

Fr., Midfielder, 5-7, Feeding Hills, Mass./Agawam

Riley Hellstein scored two goals off the bench and tallied an assist in Fairfield’s 10-8 victory over New Hampshire on March 14. Her first goal of the game resulted from a free position shot, and tied the game at 3-3 while her second goal gave Fairfield a 6-5 advantage over the Wildcats. Hellstein recorded an assist on a goal scored by Courtney Chmil, which gave the Stags an early 2-1 lead over New Hampshire. She also tallied four draw controls for Fairfield.
