Shayne Adams, University of Detroit Mercy

Adams started the Titans scoring and led Detroit to an 8-6 road victory at Canisius in the MAAC opener. He posted four points, including three goals and 1 assist. He attempted eight shots, with four on goal, three of which went in. In the opening period, Adams tied up the game 1-1 with a man-up goal. His second goal came in the third quarter to put Detroit up by 2 making the score 5-3. The redshirt junior would then find the back of the net for his fourth hat trick of the season and game winner early in the fourth to put Detroit up by four. It was his fourth hat trick of the season and the 17th of his career as he tops Detroit with 19 goals and is second with 24 assists.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
Jason Weber, University of Detroit Mercy
Fr., G, 5-11, 177, Whitby, Ont. / Christ School (N.C.)
Weber was sensational once again in net as the rookie won his third game of the year allowing just six goals with 17 saves at Canisius. The 17 saves was one shy of his season high and he now has at least 14 saves in each of his five starts. He also had two ground balls and made 11 saves in the second half, including two in the final minute as the Golden Griffins mounted a late charge.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
J.D. Recor, Marist College

Recor had a standout game for Marist at attack in its 13-8 win over Quinnipiac. Recor posted a career-high eight points, including four goals and four assists. He scored back-to-back goals to give Marist a 4-1 lead half way through the second quarter. Recor assisted all three of Colin Joka’s goals, including the tie-breaker and two consecutive after to give Marit a 9-6 lead. He scored his third goal of the game after Joka’s hat trick, unassisted, then assisted Joseph Radin’s goal six seconds later to give Marist a 11-6 lead in the fourth quarter.
