MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

Ryan Payton, Manhattan College

Sr., A, 6-1, 185, Moriches, N.Y. / William Floyd

Payton had an outstanding week offensively. He tallied a game-high seven goals on nine shots for the Jaspers in their thrilling 14-13 victory over MAAC foe Marist on Saturday afternoon. Payton's seven points also served as a game-high. Payton became the first Manhattan player to notch seven goals in a game since James Synowiez accomplished that feat against Saint Joseph's on April 24, 2010. Three of Payton's goals also came while Manhattan was a man up, helping the Jaspers go 3-5 on extra man opportunities in the contest.

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

Tommy Cordts, Siena College

R-So., G, 5-11, 185, East Northport, N.Y. / Northport

Cordts made nine saves, posting a .563 save percentage in the Saints 10-7 win over Canisius Saturday. The red-shirt sophomore made four of his nine saves in the final quarter, slowing down a Canisius offense which had scored 14 goals in upsetting 13th ranked UAlbany on the road earlier in the week. Cordts has been tremendous over his last five games, posting a 7.28 goals against average and .600 save percentage.

MAAC Rookie of the Week

J.D. Recor, Marist College

Fr., A, 5-7, 155, Lancaster, N.Y. / Bishop Timon St. Jude

Recor notched a total of six points in two games this week, scoring one goal and dishing out five assists. He collected two ground balls and attempted three shots on goal. The freshman attackman has been named MAAC Rookie of the Week three times this season.
