Rider Advances to the Quarterfinals with Win over Saint Peter's

SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – All-MAAC First Team member MyNeshia McKenzie recorded her 18th double-double of the season scoring 25 points and grabbing 11 rebounds as No. 6 Rider beats No. 11 Saint Peter’s in the first round game of the 2014 MAAC Women's Basketball Championship.
With Saint Peter’s leading Rider 43-40 in the second half, Rider went on a 10-0 run to take the final lead of the game as the Broncs went ahead 50-43 with 10:37 left in the game.
Sheereen Lightbourne was the second leading scorer with 15 points for the Broncs.
Aziza May registered 21 points and All-MAAC Third Team selection Kaydine Bent picked up 10 rebounds for the Peacocks.
Rider will face No. 3 Fairfield University in the quarterfinals on Friday at 9:30 p.m.
