Rider Earns Comeback Win Against Fairfield in Quarterfinals Round

SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – No. 6 Rider defeated No. 3 Fairfield 63-56 in the quarterfinals round of the 2014 MAAC Women's Basketball Championship.
Rider trailed Fairfield most of the way and seen a deficit as large as 12 points in the second half of the game. It wasn’t until Stephanie Mason hit back-to-back threes to give Rider its first lead of the game at 47-45 with 4:22 remaining in the contest.
All-MAAC First Team member MyNeshia McKenzie picked up another double-double on the season recording game highs of 28 points and 16 rebounds. Mason added 14 points for the Broncs aslo.
Katie Cizynski scored a team high 15 points while Felicia DaCruz registered 14 points for the Stags.
Rider will meet Marist in the semifinals on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. on ESPN3.
