Offensive Player of the Week
Tori Quinn, Canisius
Jr., Attack, 5-3, Orangeville, Ont./Orangeville
Quinn recorded a game-high seven points in the Griffs’ lone game of the week – a 16-9 win over Monmouth. The junior netted four goals and dished out three assists in the contest. She scored all-four goals in the first half and chipped in an assist in the first to help the Griffs to a 10-2 halftime lead.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jamie Romano, Marist
Sr., Midfielder, 5-11, Kings Park, N.Y./ Kings Park
Senior Jamie Romano helped lead her Red Foxes to two more MAAC victories this week over Manhattan and previously undefeated Fairfield. Romano won a combined 12 draw controls, collected four ground balls, and caused two turnovers. She won seven draw controls against Manhattan and five against Fairfield. Romano also had a combined five goals, including three against Manhattan and two against Fairfield.
Rookie of the Week
Abigail Witczak, Marist
Fr., GK, 5-2, Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham
Freshman goalkeeper Abigail Witczak led Marist to two more conference victories with impressive performances in the net. Witczak made a combined 18 saves against Manhattan and Fairfield. She made seven saves against Manhattan for a save percentage of 46.7 percent and 11 against Fairifeld in a battle for first place in the MAAC for a save percentage of 56.2 percent.
