Shayne Adams, University of Detroit Mercy

The Titans needed offense and once again Shayne Adams was able to answer the bell as he tied his season high with six goals and his career high with seven points in Detroit’s 11-6 victory. At one point, Adams scored five-straight goals to give UDM a 7-2 lead at the half as he went on to finish the regular season with 36 goals and 43 points establishing a pair of career highs. He is now just two goals away from a school record and six away from the single season points record. He took eight shots with seven on goal and also had four ground balls and a caused turnover.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
Jason Weber, University of Detroit Mercy
Fr., G, 5-11, 177, Whitby, Ont./Christ School (NC)
The Titans needed a big performance from all around just to get in the MAAC Championship and they got it again from their rookie netminder as Weber allowed just six goals and made 18 saves in UDM’s 11-6 victory. It was the fourth time this year he had 18 or more saves in a game as he evened his record to 5-5 with 163 total saves, an 8.87 goals against average and a .647 save percentage. It was also the fourth time in his 10 starts that he allowed just six goals in a game.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
J.D. Recor, Marist College
Fr., A, 5-7, 155, Lancaster, N.Y/ Bishop Timon St. Jude
Freshman attack J.D. Recor notched a game-high six points as Marist topped Canisius 13-7 to secure the No. 2 seed for the MAAC Tournament. Recor recorded a hat trick, converting on three of four shots on goal. He also dished out three assists in the win for a total of 29 assists this season, breaking into the record books as 10th in program history.
