Wilson Offensive Player of the Week

Luke Fairlamb, Saint Peter’s

So., F, 5’10, Northhampton, England/Unity College


Sophomore Luke Fairlamb posted two goals and an assist in a 4-0 win against A-10 member George Washington on Saturday. The sophomore converted a penalty kick for the first score of the game and then dished out an assist on Louis Mobbs’ goal before knocking in his second penalty kick of the afternoon to have a hand in all three Peacocks’ first-half goals. The sophomore now leads the team with four goals and two assists for 10 points after dishing out three assists in his freshman campaign.

 

Wilson Defensive Player of the Week

Julian Petrello, Iona

So., GK, 6-3, New York, N.Y./HS-Math, Science & Engineering


Iona College sophomore goalkeeper Julian Petrello recorded his second win of the season, with eight saves in the Gaels' 2-0 win over Columbia. Petrello stopped three shots in the first half, and another five in the second period for his second shutout of the year, and eighth of his career.

 

Wilson Rookie of the Week

Lucian Preis, Canisius

Fr., M, 5-10, Lӧrrach, Germany/Hebel-Gymnasium


Canisius freshman Lucian Preis made his first collegiate tally a memorable one, netting his first career goal in overtime to lift the Griffs to a 3-2 victory against local rival St. Bonaventure. The rookie fired a shot in off a corner kick to help lead Canisius to its fifth-straight victory – matching a school record. Preis was also key in helping the Griffs keep a clean sheet in Sunday’s 0-0 draw with St. Francis, a game in which Canisius dominated possession and outshot the Red Flash, 26-7.
