Wilson Offensive Player of the Week

Marcel Maddee’, Saint Peter’s

Sr., M/F, 5-10, Berlin, Germany/Gymnasium Villa Elisabeth

 Maddee' scored twice to help the Saint Peter's men's soccer team to a 2-1 win against Hartwick on Sunday. The senior scored first in the 4th minute and put in the eventual game winner in the 69th minute to give the Peacocks a 2-0 lead on their way to a 2-1 victory. It was the senior's second multi-goal performance of his career after posting two goals in a 2-2 standstill against Niagara last season on October 5, 2013. Maddee' paced the team with four goals and seven assists for 15 points last season.

Wilson Defensive Player of the Week

Josh Weiss, Siena

Fr., GK, 5-10, Hicksville, N.Y./St. Anthony’s

Weiss posted a 2-0-0 record with a shutout, 10 saves, a 0.50 goals against average and a .909 save percentage last week for the Saints. On Wednesday, Weiss made three saves to post his second straight clean sheet to begin his collegiate career as the Saints upset 23rd ranked Boston University 1-0. On Friday, the freshman made a season-high seven saves as Siena improved to 3-0 for the first time in program history with a 2-1 win at Brown. 

Wilson Rookie of the Week

Alexander Tejera, Siena

Fr., F, 6-2, Ossining, N.Y./Ossining

Tejera scored a goal in each of the Saints’ two matches last week, posting four points as the Saints went 2-0. On Wednesday, the freshman’s first collegiate goal was the game-winner as Siena upset 23rd ranked Boston University 1-0. Friday, Tejera opened the scoring with his second goal in as many matches as Siena improved to 3-0 for the first time in program history with a 2-1 win at Brown.
