Iona's David Laury Earns ECAC Weekly Honors

EDISON, N.J. - Iona College men's basketball player David Laury has been named ECAC Metro/Upstate Co-Player of the Week.
Laury put together a pair of double-doubles in Iona’s two contests on the road last week, averaging 24.0 points and 10.5 rebounds at UMass and Siena. The New Jersey native poured in 24 points in each contest and grabbed 11 rebounds versus the Minutemen and 10 against the Saints. In addition to also averaging 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks, Laury shot 54.8 percent from the field, 66.7 percent from beyond the arc and 75 percent from the free throw line.
Laury was also named MAAC Player of the Week for the second consecutive week on Monday.
He shares the ECAC award with Sterling Gibbs of Seton Hall.
