Wilson Offensive Player of the Week

Erica Crosier, Marist

So., M, 5-3, Newton, PA/Council Rock

Sophomore Erica Crosier scored her first career goal and kept on going, recording two more goals and notching an assist in the Red Foxes Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference 6-1 win over Saint Peter’s Sunday afternoon. Crosier scored three minutes into the contest, assisted on the games second goal just seven minutes later, and scored twice in the second half. Her second goal was in response to the Peacocks lone goal of the day and the third of the day came just six minutes later. Crosier had three shots on the day, all three of them found the back of the net.

Wilson Defensive Player of the Week

Bethany-May Howard, Rider  

Jr., GK, 5-7, Glastonbury, England/Bridgwater College

The two-time MAAC Defensive Player of the Week, Howard, continues to impress in goal for Rider as she posted her fourth and fifth shutout wins of the season this week. On Wednesday against Saint Peter’s, Howard made eight saves in goal, preserving an 8-0 shutout win over the Peacocks. Then on Saturday versus Iona, Howard added four more saves to her resume in a 2-0 win, giving her 12 total saves on the week. With Howard in goal, the Broncs have posted shutout wins in 5 of the last 6 games.       

Wilson Rookie of the Week

Kourtney Cunningham, Rider 

Fr., M/F, 5-3, Whitehall, PA/Whitehall

Freshman Kourtney Cunningham registered a six point week, en route to leading Rider University to a 2-0 week in MAAC play. In an 8-0 shutout win over Saint Peter’s on Wednesday, Cunningham scored two goals and recorded one assist for five points. On Saturday against Iona, the freshman assisted on the game winning goal in a 2-0 shutout win.
