Wilson Offensive Player of the Week
Madison Vasquez, Siena
So., B/M, 5-6, West Babylon, NY/West Babylon
Vasquez tallied three points and scored the game-winning goal in the Saints’ regular season finale Wednesday, a 2-0 must-win at Quinnipiac which clinched Siena the final MAAC Tournament berth. In a matchup where the winner would advance to the postseason and the loser’s season would end, Vasquez came up with a big time performance in leading the Saints to their third straight MAAC Championships appearance. She opened the scoring in the 36th minute and then set up freshman Meghan Riccardi’s key insurance goal with just under 10 minutes remaining in regulation to put the game away as the Saints ran their unbeaten streak to four on the strength of their third straight victory. The sophomore midfielder has paced the Saints this season in points (12), goals (five) and game-winning goals (two) through the conclusion of regular season action.

Sr., GK, 5-5, Buffalo, NY/Holy Angels Academy

The victory gave the Griffs a two game win streak to end the season, while beating a Rider team that was playing for a first round bye in the MAAC Championship.
Wilson Rookie of the Week
Jenny Jacobs, Fairfield
Fr., F, 5-2, Tolland, CT/Tolland
Freshman Jenny Jacobs become the first Stag since 2008 to record a hat trick as she struck for a career-high three goals in just 29 minutes. Jacobs became the first Stags player since 1996 to record all three of her goals in a single half. The rookie got off to a quick start, tallying her first score just two minutes into the contest. That would end up being the game-winner, the first of her career. Jacobs actually tallied the first three goals of the game, giving the Stags enough breathing room in the contest. All of Jacobs’ six goals this season have come in conference play, putting her in a draw for second for most conference goals.
