Silva, Henry and Schultz Earned MAAC Water Polo Weekly Honors

EDISON, N.J. – Skyler Henry of Marist College, Taylor Silva and Hannah Schultz of Iona College are named the MAAC Water Polo Weekly Award Winners of the Week.
Taylor Silva of Iona College is this week's MAAC Offensive Player of the Week. Silva led the Gaels with eight goals as the Maroon & Gold went 3-0 to start the season at the team's Super Sunday Tournament. Silva opened the season with one goal, one steal and one block in the team's 10-8 upset of No. 20 Harvard. Silva then scored two goals and drew an ejection in a 17-5 win over St. Francis Brooklyn before scoring five goals in a come from behind victory over Villanova.
Skyler Henry of Marist College is the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week. Henry made 11 saves while giving up just five goals against in Sunday’s 14-6 win over Brown University. Henry also had three steals and assisted on two goals.
Hannah Schultz of Iona College is the MAAC rookie of the week. Schultz registered eight goals in her first time in the pool for the Gaels. Helping Iona to a 3-0 mark, Schultz had a pair of four goal efforts, including a quartet in a 10-8 victory over No. 20 Harvard. She then found the net four more time against St. Francis Brooklyn.
The 2015 MAAC Water Polo Championships will be held on April 25-26 at the Marist College Natatorium.
