Amorosa, Riddle, and Schultz Earn MAAC Water Polo Weekly Awards

EDISON, N.J. - Amanda Amorosa of Marist College, Emily Riddle of Wagner College, and Hannah Schultz of Iona College are the MAAC Water Polo Weekly Award winners.
Sophomore utility Amanda Amorosa scored 12 goals and had seven assists this past weekend in four games at the Harvard Invitational. Amorosa scored a season-high five goals and had four assists in a win over Brown University. Amorosa also recorded a hat trick in games against No. 9 San Jose State University and No. 11 Princeton University.
Sophomore goalie Emily Riddle accumulated 21 blocks over a three game span this past weekend as the Seahawks went 1-2 at the Aggie Invitational including a 6-4 win over No. 14 Pacific. Riddle had a fine weekend as she posted a goals against average of 4.67.
Freshman Hannah Schultz registered 12 goals over four games this weekend for the Gaels at the Harvard Invitational. Schultz opened the weekend with four goals and one ejection drawn against No. 9 San Jose State. She then added three goals vs. Connecticut College later that day. On day two of the weekend, Schultz tallied one goal and drew an ejection against No. 11 Princeton, and finished the four game tournament strong with four goals and ejections drawn against Brown.
The 2015 MAAC Water Polo Championship will be held on April 25-26 at McCann Natatorium in Poughkeepsie, New York.
