Player of the Week
Hannah Lindsley, Quinnipiac
Sr., Pitcher/Utility, 5-7, Narraganset, R.I/Narraganset
Lindsley batted 7-for-15 with eight RBI, six runs scored and three home runs through five games this past week. Against Saint Francis on Friday, March 20, the senior was 3-for-4 with three home runs and six RBI. On the same day against Toledo, she went 2-for-4 from the plate with a double and two RBI. Lindsley also contributed from the circle, recording a win after pitching a complete game against Toledo by allowing three earned runs and five hits over seven innings.
Pitcher of the Week
Amy Bright, Manhattan
Sr., Pitcher/Outfielder, 5-7, Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius
Bright did not allow a run in three of five appearances last week, including back-to-back shutouts against Santa Clara (March 20) and Brown (March 21). The senior gave up just three hits and struck out five over five shutout innings in a 6-1 win over Mount St. Mary’s on Monday, March 16. Bright went on to toss an eight-inning complete game shutout at Santa Clara on Friday night. She scattered five hits and recorded six strikeouts, as Manhattan posted a 2-0 victory against the Broncos. Bright ran her streak to 15 consecutive scoreless innings on Saturday, March 21 against Brown, hurling a four-hit shutout with three strikeouts in an 8-0 win. For the week, Bright went 3-2 with a 2.50 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 28 innings pitched.
Rookie of the Week
Gabrielle Kelliher, Marist
Fr., Outfielder, 5-7, East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick
Kelliher hit .333 with a .474 on-base percentage and .800 slugging percentage in seven games (five starts) this past week. She went 5-for-15 with three extra-base hits (two home runs, one double), seven runs scored, two RBIs and four walks. In the first game of a doubleheader on Wednesday, March 18, she went 1-for-2 with two runs scored, a double and a walk. Kelliher then homered in both ends of a doubleheader in the UVA Tournament on Saturday, March 21 against Delaware State and Virginia. She scored two runs against the Hornets, and had two hits against the Cavaliers.
