Offensive Player of the Week
Mike Begley, Marist
Sr., Midfield, 5-11, Brookeville, Md./Sherwood
Begley had a hat trick and picked up an assist in Marist’s 10-9 win over High Point on March 7. He scored two goals on three shots in the Red Foxes’ home opener against Stony Brook on March 4 while also collecting three ground balls. In two game this week, Begley tallied five goals, six points and five ground balls.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jason Weber, Detroit
So., Goalie, 5-11, Whitby, Ontario/Christ School
The dominating defensive net minder totaled a school record 28 saves in the victory over Mercer, breaking his own record of 23 he had against Marist last season. His 28 saves tied a MAAC record from 2005 as he helped the Titans move to two games over .500 for the first time in program history.
Rookie of the Week
Brian Feldman, Quinnipiac
Fr., Attack, 6-1, Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy
Brian Feldman posted four goals and two assists this past week, but really shined on Saturday against Hartford. He scored career highs in goals and points, netting four markers and one assist in the game. Feldman scored twice in the first quarter, and once in the third and fourth, which included a go-ahead tally with less than two minutes to play. Earlier in the week, he had an assist at Harvard. He also grabbed three ground balls.
