Lundgren, Riddle and Schultz Earn Water Polo Weekly Awards

EDISON, N.J. - Jess Lundgren and Emily Riddle of Wagner College, and Hannah Schultz of Iona are the MAAC Water Polo Weekly Award winners.
Junior center Jess Lundgren (Queensland, Australia/ Mountain Creek) found the back of the net for 18 scores in the Seahawks four games this past weekend. Lundgren passed out seven helpers to push her weekend point total to 25 highlighted by her eight point output in a victory over Marist.
Sophomore goalie Emily Riddle (Edmonton, Alberta/ Dr. E.P. Scarlett) recorded 30 saves in the Seahawks four game slate this past weekend as the team went 3-1. Riddle registered three steals on the weekend as well while posting a goals against average of 7.00.
Freshman Hannah Schultz tallied fourteen goals over four games as the Gaels had a two wins, two loses over the weekend. Schultz recorded a career record of seven goals in Iona’s 12-8 win over Siena and took three goals over the Villanova win (14-9). Later in the weekend, she totaled four times between two games dropped by Iona to Wagner (14-8) and Marist (19-10).
The 2015 MAAC Water Polo Championship will be held on April 25-26 at McCann Natatorium in Poughkeepsie, New York.
