Offensive Player of the Week
Joseph Radin, Marist
Jr., Attack, 6-1, Long Beach, N.Y./Long Beach
Radin scored a career-high seven goals in the Red Foxes’ 15-3 win over Manhattan on April 18. He fired 13 shots and collected three ground balls as Marist earned the MAAC regular season title with the victory and will host the conference championships.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jack Brust, Quinnipiac
Jr., Goalie, 6-2, Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall College
Two of the MAAC's top goalies took the field in Hamden Saturday, both living up to the hype. Bobcat goalie Jack Brust came away with the win though, collecting his fourth career triumph in the game. He made 10 saves on the day and allowed just one goal in the second half of action. He made five saves in the third quarter and one in the fourth. Brust has double digits in saves in eight of his 10 games this year – ranking among the national leaders in saves per game.
Rookie of the Week
Mark Anstead, Detroit
Fr., Attack, 5-11, Potomac, Md./Gonzaga
The rookie was on his game again leading the team with five points in the come-from-behind win at Siena, which helped keep Detroit’s hope alive for a MAAC Championship bid. He scored two goals and handed out three assists in the victory, with four of his points coming in the first half to help keep Detroit in the game.
