The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Announces the 2015 All-MAAC Women's Tennis Teams

EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced the members of the 2015 Women’s Tennis All-MAAC teams, highlighted by Marist College’s Karly Pang University’s, who was selected as the league’s Player of the Year while Siena College’s Rina Sakai was named Rookie of the Year.

Quinnipiac head coach Paula Miller was named 2015 MAAC Women’s Coach of the Year. 

Pang, a junior from Kaneohe, Hawaii, finished the regular season with an overall record of 16-12 and an 8-0 mark in MAAC play. She ended the regular season with a record of 9-5 in first singles play. Pang also earned a spot on the All-MAAC Second Team at No. 1 Doubles with her partner Claire Schmitz.

Sakai, a freshman from Tokyo, Japan, finished the regular season as a Saint with an overall record of 12-6 including a 5-1 record in league play. Sakai also received All-MAAC Second Team honors at No. 2 Singles.

Miller, currently in her first year as the head coach of the women’s tennis program, led the Bobcats to an overall record of 12-8 and a perfect 8-0 mark in conference play.
