Offensive Player of the Week
Bryce Wasserman, Monmouth
Fr., Attack, 6-3, Southlake, Texas/Grapevine Faith
Wasserman collected a team-high 12 points in Monmouth’s 1-1 week, with a team-best nine goals and three assists, while attempting 16 shots, 11 of which were on frame. At Lafayette, the attackman added three goals and two assists. Wasserman, who scored three of his career-high six goals in the fourth quarter in the win over the Griffs, has scored at least a point in all 10 games this season, and set a program-record with his six goals and seven points in a single-game versus Canisius. The rookie, who has 12 points in the last two games, leads Monmouth with 19 goals and 26 points.
Defensive Player of the Week
Dave Scarcello, Marist
Sr., Goalie, 5-11, Buffalo, N.Y./Bishop Timon St.Jude
Scarcello made 11 saves in Marist’s 8-7 win over Detroit on April 4, which helped the Red Foxes clinch a MAAC Tournament berth. He held the Titans scoreless in the second quarter and allowed just one goal on eight shots in the fourth quarter. Scarcello also contributed a pair of ground balls and two caused turnovers in the victory.
Rookie of the Week
Brian Feldman, Quinnipiac
Fr., Attack, 6-1, Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy
Brian Feldman paced the Quinnipiac attack last week, totaling seven points in a 1-1 week for the Bobcats. He scored six goals and tallied an assist – extending his point streak to eight straight games. Feldman carried the bulk of the load offensively on Tuesday night, scoring a career high five goals at Stony Brook. He scored once in the second quarter, once in the third and two in the fourth. On Saturday, Feldman had a goal and an assist – scoring the game-tying goal with 10 minutes left in Quinnipiac’s comeback victory at Manhattan. Feldman also scooped up four ground balls on the week.
