MAAC Announces 2014-15 Academic Honor Roll

EDISON, NJ - A total of 2,080 student-athletes have been honored for academic achievements by being named to the 2014-15 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll.

To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Honor Roll is open to both full-time and associate members in the MAAC. All 25 sports that the conference sponsors are represented.

Marist College leads the list of honored student-athletes with 251, followed by Iona College with 193. Fairfield University and Quinnipiac University each had 188 student-athletes named to the Honor Roll. Rider University added 185, followed by Canisius College (180), Monmouth University (170), Siena College (154), Manhattan College (151), Niagara University (138) and Saint Peter’s University (96). Among the associate members, Sacred Heart University, which competes in field hockey and women's rowing, has the most with 40 student-athletes.
