Wilson Offensive Player of the Week
Jessica Jankowski, Quinnipiac
Sr., F, 5-4, Berkeley Heights, NJ/Governor Livingston
Coming in with five career points, Jess Jankowski doubled her career scoring total as she posted two goals and one assist for a career-high five points in the Bobcats’ 4-2 win over Saint Peter’s on Saturday. In just her fourth start in 39 career appearances, the five-point effort for Jankowski goes down as the highest scoring output for a Bobcat since Furtuna Velaj tallied a hat trick against Dartmouth on Sept. 17, 2010 (86 games ago).
Wilson Defensive Player of the Week
Kristen Skonieczny, Manhattan
Sr., GK, 5-7, Lagrangeville, NY/Arlington
Kristen Skonieczny earned her fifth victory, including her fourth via shutout, with a season-high seven saves in a 1-0 win over Siena on Sept. 26. She notched a pair of diving saves to keep the Saints off the scoreboard in the first stanza while helping lead a defense that didn’t allow Siena to record a shot on goal off nine corner kicks. Skonieczny’s performance lowered her GAA to a microscopic 0.46 while improving her save percentage to .909.
Wilson Rookie of the Week
Kristen Reilly, Marist
Fr., F, 5-6, Mahopac, NY/Mahopac
Freshman Kristen Reilly’s goal just six minutes into the match proved to be the deciding factor as the Marist women’s soccer team defeated the Rider Broncs, 1-0 Saturday night at Tenney Stadium. Reilly lobbed a shot over the keeper from about 20 yards out to give the Red Foxes a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. Reilly also led the Red Foxes in shots with five, three of which were on goal.
