ECAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Tori Jarosz – Marist College, Sr., Center, Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.
Jarosz led the Red Foxes to a 3-0 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play with wins against Manhattan, Iona and Monmouth. Jarosz averaged a double-double, scoring 24 points per game on 60 percent shooting (27-for-45 overall) while pulling down 13.3 rebounds per game. In Jarosz’s first game of the week against Manhattan she scored a career high 27 points and tied a career high in rebounds with 17 while also swatting a game high six shots as the Red Foxes took down the Jaspers, 79-73. In the Red Foxes rematch with Iona, who had just defeated Marist a week prior, Jarosz led the Red Foxes with 24 points on 10-for-13 shooting to go along with 13 rebounds, good for her 12th double-double of the year and helped hand the Gaels their first MAAC loss of the season. In the Red Foxes final game of the week, Jarosz led the way as the team avenged another loss from earlier in the season, this time against Monmouth. Jarosz notched her 13th double-double of the season, scoring 21 points on 7-for-16 shooting while grabbing 10 rebounds and blocking three shots in 31 minutes of action as Marist defeated Monmouth, 78-55.
ECAC Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Micah Seaborn – Monmouth University, R-Fr., Guard, Arlington, Texas
Seaborn topped a career-high at Fairfield with 24 points, knocking in 9-of-16 and four threes to help propel Monmouth to a second-half comeback over the Stags. Seaborn added 14 more points in the Friday night win at Iona, shooting 6-for-9 from the field and 3-of-5 from deep. He dished out six assists against the Gaels and shot 60 percent on the week and 58.3 percent from three. He averaged 19.5 points per game in the pair of league road wins.
