Offensive Player of the Week
Joseph Radin, Marist
Sr., Attack, 6-1, Long Beach, NY/Long Beach
Radin tied his career high with seven goals in a 10-8 Marist win against Binghamton on Feb 27. Three of his scores came on man up opportunities, as the Red Foxes went 3-for-3 on power plays. Marist took the lead for good on his second goal of the afternoon. Radin fired 12 shots, with 10 of those coming on goal, and scooped up a pair of ground balls in Marist’s first win of the 2016 regular season. He has now scored in 18 straight games, tying for the fifth longest active streak in the nation.
Defensive Player of the Week
Brian Corrigan, Marist
R-So., GK, 5-10, East Quogue, NY/Westhampton Beach
Corrigan outdid himself in Marist’s win over Binghamton on Feb. 27 in Tenney Stadium, making 18 saves against eight goals allowed. He compiled a save percentage of .692 after facing 42 shots from the Bearcats as the Red Foxes earned their first win of the 2016 regular season by a score of 10-8.
Rookie of the Week
Matt Frost, Quinnipiac
Fr., Attack, 6-3, Spring Lake, NJ/St. Rose
Frost had his first three collegiate goals for the Bobcats in a 12-6 win over Bellarmine on Saturday. After a second-quarter goal to help Quinnipiac to a 5-3 halftime lead, Frost scored just nine seconds into the second half to give the Bobcats momentum, and then added his third goal to make the score 8-3 with 4:15 left in the third quarter. Bellarmine was coming off an 11-6 defeat on the road to No. 1 Notre Dame earlier in the week.
