Offensive Player of the Week

J.D. Recor, Marist

Jr., Attack, 5-7, Lancaster, NY/Bishop Timon St. Jude

Recor had six goals and three assists, as Marist defeated Michigan on the road March 23 and picked up a MAAC home win against Canisius on March 26. Against the Wolverines, Recor assisted on the game-winning score in the extra period that gave the Red Foxes their first overtime win of the season, and had three goals. He also scooped up a pair of ground balls. Recor scored on all three of his shots on goal against the Golden Griffins in a 13-10 Marist victory. He finished the week with 12 shots, including eight on goal.   

Defensive Player of the Week

Jack Brust, Quinnipiac

Jr., GK, 6-0, Baltimore, MD/Calvert Hall

Brust had a spectacular effort in an 11-6 win over Siena on Saturday, tallying 14 saves for a .700 save percentage. He allowed only two goals after halftime (one in the third and one in the fourth), and had five saves in the fourth quarter as the Bobcats were able to pull away to open MAAC play with a win. Brust also had 11 saves on Tuesday in a loss at Fairfield, giving him double figures in four of the last five games. In Quinnipiac’s four wins, Brust has put up dominant second half numbers, tallying 25 saves and allowing only 10 goals.

Rookie of the Week

Eamon Campbell, Monmouth

Fr., Attack, 6-2, Massapequa, NY/St. Anthony’s

Eamon Campbell earned his first collegiate start in the Hawks’ 10-5 MAAC victory at Manhattan.  The rookie registered an assist on the Hawks’ first goal of the afternoon before extending his goal streak to five games, scoring the first goal of the second half to extend MU’s lead to five.   Campbell added another helper in the fourth quarter to finish the afternoon with three points.  For the game, the freshman fired six shots, four of which reaching cage, to go along with five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
