Offensive Player of the Week
Brian Feldman, Quinnipiac
So., A, 6-1, Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy
Feldman scored a career-high seven goals to lead Quinnipiac to a dominant 17-9 home win over Canisius and a two-game lead in the MAAC standings. Feldman tallied a career-high eight points last week against Detroit with five goals and three assists, which tied his career high in goals, and he broke that mark against Canisius with seven. He finished off his 11th career hat trick early in the second quarter to help stake the Bobcats to a 10-4 halftime lead, and then he scored Quinnipiac’s first four goals of the second half to help stymie any Golden Griffin comeback efforts.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jason Weber, Detroit
Jr., GK, 6-0, Whitby, Ontario/Christ School (NC)
Junior Jason Weber made 14 saves in the Titans’ comeback win and Detroit needed everyone one of them. Nine of the saves were in the first half when Monmouth appeared to be running away with the game, but his play kept Detroit in the game as the red, white and blue eventually pulled ahead.
Rookie of the Week
Parker Giarratana, Manhattan
Fr., Attack, 6-1, Delray, FL/Boca Raton Community
Notched his fourth hat trick of the season, finishing up with a team-leading four goals in Manhattan’s thrilling come-from-behind win at Marist to go along with five ground balls. The victory over the defending MAAC Champions avenged last year’s 12-goal loss and snapped a 10-game losing streak to MAAC opposition. Scored in all four periods and now has 12 goals in his last three games while finding the back of the net in all but one game this season. Paces the squad in goals (27) and points (38) while ranking second in assists (11). His 27 goals are tied for the ninth best single-season mark in school history and are the third-most by a rookie in the all-time Manhattan annals.
