MAAC Announces 2015-16 Academic Honor Roll

EDISON, NJ - A total of 2,173 student-athletes have been honored for academic achievements by being named to the 2015-16 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Academic Honor Roll.
To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Honor Roll is open to both full-time and associate members in the MAAC. All 25 sports that the conference sponsors are represented.
Marist College led the list of honored student-athletes with 261, followed by Quinnipiac University with 219. Fairfield University had 202 student-athletes named to the list, while Iona College added 191. Canisius College had 183 student-athletes make the list and both Manhattan College and Monmouth University placed 170 on the Honor Roll, followed by Rider University (163), Siena College (160), Niagara University (144) and Saint Peter’s University (103). Among the associate members, Sacred Heart University, which competes in field hockey and women's rowing, had the most student-athletes with 37 named to the list.
