Young, Orban Earn Tennis Weekly Awards

Sydney Young, QuinnipiacSr., 5'4", Austin, TX/AESA Preparatory AcademyYoung went 1-0 in Quinnipiac’s loss to Army on Saturday. Young teamed up with Rachel Horton to defeat Nancy Porter and Melanie Allen, 6-4 at the No. 1 doubles position. Young also took on Porter in the No. 4 singles draw but the match went unfinished since the teams played in a clinching style format. Army won the match 4-1. However, before the match concluded, Young had won the first set in the No. 4 singles match 6-2 and the second set was tied 6-6 when it was called.
Brad Orban, FairfieldJr., 6'0", Milford, CT/ForanThe junior won at No. 1 singles for the fifth consecutive match. At the first position, he posted a straight set win over Christopher Toner of University of Connecticut (6-1, 6-2). In the No.1 doubles spot, Orban paired with Anthony Caputo picked up a 7-6 win and helped the Stags earn the doubles point against the Huskies.
