Quinnipiac's Ezaka & Rencheli Take Home Tennis Weekly Awards

Male Player of the Week
Kei Ezaka, Quinnipiac

Ezaka won three matches this past week with two coming from the No. 1 singles spot as well as a doubles win. Ezaka went 2-0 against No. 4 seed Fairfield, winning the No. 2 doubles match with partner Kyle Alper over Tyler Shibles and Dylan Appel, 6-4 to clinch the doubles point against the Stags. Ezaka later on defeated Brad Orban in the No. 1 singles match in straight sets, 6-4 and 7-6 (4).
Ezaka also defeated Nicola Pipoli of No. 1 seed Monmouth, in the No. 1 singles match on Sunday in three sets. Ezaka took the first set 7-6 (4), then narrowly fell in the second set 5-7. However Ezaka returned to win the third set and match, 10-4.
Female Player of the Week
Sitilia Rencheli, Quinnipiac
Sr., Sarasota, Florida
Sitilia Rencheli went an impressive 6-0 over the past week, all against MAAC competition. Rencheli won all of her singles matches in sweeping fashion this week, starting with defeating Sarah Stuhlmann of Fairfield in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-2. She followed with a sweep over Monmouth's Adriana Armendariz, 6-1 and 6-1 in straight sets. Rodriguez closed the week with a convincing sweep of Marist's Ariel Shulman, 6-1 and 6-0.
Rencheli went a perfect 2-0 with doubles partner Kelsi Oliphant and 1-0 with Proyfon Lohaphaisan as well. The Bobcats duo defeated Emily Lombardi and Karen McKeough of Fairfield, 6-4. Rencheli and Lohaphaisan then defeated Chioma Gabriel and Alexandra Graff of Monmouth, 6-0. Rencheli and Oliphant closed the week with a convincing 6-4 win over Callie Morlock Kauffman and Claire Schmitz.
