Marist's Restrepo, Siena's Garrity Take Home Tennis Weekly Awards

Marist College junior Javier Restrepo went a perfect 2-0 on the week in the Red Foxes lone match against Rider University. The win improved Marist’s record to 9-2 overall and 1-0 in MAAC play.
Playing from the first singles position, Restrepo didn’t drop a game. His first win was over Chris Popso, 6-0, 6-0. Restrepo then teamed up at the second doubles position with Gianlucca Massa to defeat Rider’s Matthew Begley and Chris Popso, 6-1.
Ali Garrity, Siena
Sr., 5-5, Medina, OH/Medina
Senior Ali Garrity helped push the Siena Women’s Tennis team into Siena College history. With its 7-0 sweep of Marist College they are 14-0 on the season and have tied the best start by any program in Siena history. Garrity and doubles partner Fukamachi won on court one, 6-1. She then took down the Red Foxes 6-2, 6-1 on court one in singles.
