Inclement Weather Pushes Back Game-Times in 2017 MAAC LifeStorage Baseball Championship

NIAGARA FALLS, NY – Due to inclement weather game-times for the 2017 MAAC LifeStorage Baseball Championship have been adjusted. Today's first game between No. 2 Marist College and No. 3 Canisius College has been pushed back to approximately 4:00 p.m.
First pitch for No. 5 Manhattan College and No. 6 Rider University has been moved to approximately 7:30 p.m. Game six of the MAAC Baseball Championship between No. 4 Iona College and the winner of Manhattan and Rider has been rescheduled for Friday, May 26 at 10:00 a.m.
Game seven between No. 1 Fairfield University and the winner of Marist and Canisius has been moved back on Friday, May 26 to 1:30 p.m. Game eight between the winner of Game six and the loser of Game three or four (higher seed) plays on Friday, May 26 at 5:00 p.m. Game nine between the winner of Game eight and the loser of Game seven is slated to begin at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 26.
If the winner of Game eight is also the winner from Game six, Game nine will not occur on Friday, May 26 as a team can't play more than two games in a day. Game nine would then be moved to Saturday, May 27 and an updated schedule will be distributed at that time.

Game Four (May 25, 4:00 p.m.) – No. 2 Marist vs. No. 3 Canisius
Game Seven (May 26, 1:30 p.m.) – No. 1 Fairfield vs. Winner of Game four
Game Eight (May 26, 5:00 p.m.) – Winner Game six vs. Loser Game three or four (higher seed)
Game Nine (May 26, 8:30 p.m.) – Winner Game eight vs. Loser Game seven
About the 2017 MAAC LifeStorage Baseball Championship:
The 2017 MAAC LifeStorage Baseball Championship takes place at Sal Maglie Stadium hosted by Canisius College and Niagara University from May 24-28.
The Championship is a double elimination style tournament. If the team coming out of the losers' bracket defeats the team in the winners' bracket, the if necessary game takes place on Saturday, May 27 at 3:30 p.m.
The winner of the 2017 MAAC Baseball Championship earns the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Championship. The NCAA Baseball Selection Show is on Monday, May 29 on ESPNU at 12:00 p.m.
