Marist Men's Lacrosse Advances to Fourth Straight MAAC Championship Game

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY –With an 8-5 defeat of second seeded Canisius College, third seeded Marist College will meet top-seeded Monmouth University in the 2017 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men's Lacrosse Championship Game. It is the fourth-straight championship game appearance for the Red Foxes.

All-MAAC First Team Goalkeeper Brian Corrigan recorded 17 saves in the net, posting a .773 save percentage for the Red Foxes. J.D. Recor scored two goals and added three assists for Marist. With those three helpers, Recor is now the MAAC All-Time Career Assists Leader with 130 assists and counting. Marist dominated the face off, grabbing 11 to Canisius' six. Gannon Morrison added two goals for the Red Foxes in this semifinals victory.

Marist will now face Monmouth in the 2017 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship Game, which will air LIVE on ESPNU as well as SiriusXM  on Sirius 108, XM 201 at 10am.
