MAAC ANNOUNCES 2009 WOMEN’S WATER POLO ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
Edison, N.J. – A total of 31 student-athletes make up the 2009 MAAC Women’s Water Polo All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Iona College led all schools with nine student-athletes making the team, followed by Wagner College’s seven student-athletes. Five athletes earned spots of the team representing Marist College, and, and four for St. Francis (N.Y.) College. Siena College and Villanova University each had three student-athletes on the team.
