MAAC ANNOUNCES 2013 WOMEN’S WATER POLO ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. – A total of 42 student-athletes make up the 2013 MAAC Women’s Water Polo All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.  Villanova University led all schools with 10 student-athletes making the team, followed by Marist College and Wagner College with eight student-athletes apiece.  Six athletes earned spots of the team representing Saint Francis (N.Y.) College.  Iona College had five student-athletes on the team, while Siena College added four student-athletes to the squad. The Virginia Military Institute rounded out the team with one member on the team.
