No. 1 Monmouth University (16-3-1) won its third-straight MAAC Women’s Soccer Championship, becoming the first to do so since 2002-04, when Loyola (MD) did so. The Hawks broke the MAAC championship game record for goals with seven. The Hawks defeated No. 3 Siena College (11-8-3), 7-1. The Hawks led 2-0 at halftime then scored three goals in five minutes at the start of the second half.
Madie Gibson scored the first of the game on a penalty kick for her team-leading eighth of the year. The Hawks had six different players score. Siena and Monmouth combined for a Women’s Soccer Championship game record eight combined goals. Monmouth awaits the NCAA Women's Soccer Selection Show Monday, November 6 at 4:30 p.m.

  • Monmouth outshot the Saints 11-0 in the first half and 21-2 total.
  • Monmouth has used the same starting lineup for the entirety of its 11-game winning streak.
  • Monmouth reached 15 total wins for the second consecutive season.

  • Monmouth advances to the NCAA Championship for the third-straight season.
  • Madie Gibson is tied with Alli DeLuca for the team lead in points (22) and goals (8).
  • Lexie Palladino scored her seventh goal of the season.

  • Siena ends the season 11-8-3.
  • Siena is 1-2 in the MAAC Championship since 2010 (won in 2015).
  • Emily McNelis scored her third goal of the season.
  • Taylor Dorado recorded four saves.
