EDISON, NJ – The matchups and seeds for the 2018 MAAC Women's Basketball Championship are confirmed.

The No. 1 seed for the fourth-straight season is Quinnipiac University. The Bobcats finished the MAAC regular season unbeaten, 18-0. The Bobcats are also the reigning MAAC Women’s Basketball Champions, and went on a historic run to Sweet 16 last season. The Bobcats last went perfect in MAAC play in 2014-15. Marist is the last team besides Quinnipiac to go undefeated in league play, back in 2012-13 (18-0).

Marist College will be the No. 2 seed at the MAAC Women's Basketball Championship. The Red Foxes finished the year at 14-4 in league play and are back on the two-line for the first time since 2015. Marist was the No. 6 seed last year, when the Red Foxes won their first-round match up and then lost in the quarterfinals.

The Saints of Siena College are the No. 3 seed in Albany. Siena finished MAAC play at 11-7. The Saints are 3-1 since falling, 83-72, to No. 1 seed Quinnipiac back on February 11. The No. 3 seed is the highest seed for the Saints since they finshed T4 back in 2004-05.

Fairfield University and Rider University tied at 10-8 and Fairfield won the tiebreaker with its win over Siena to earn the No. 4 seed. Rider slides to the No. 5 seed and secures the last first-round bye in the bracket.

Niagara University is the No. 6 seed in the bracket after winning a tiebreaker over Manhattan College as both teams finished 9-9. Niagara beat Marist on Saturday in its regular-season finale to earn the tiebreaker over Manhattan.

Canisius College is the No. 8 seed and Monmouth University is the No. 9 seed. The two teams will get the Championship started on Thursday, March 1, at 9:30 a.m. Canisius took both meetings between the two this season.
Iona College is the No. 10 seed, and Saint Peter's University will be the No. 11 seed.
