Canisius senior Connor Kearnan has been named to the 2018 Inside Lacrosse Media All-America Team, it was announced Sunday evening.

A native of Courtice, Ontario, Kearnan was an honorable mention selection. He was the only player from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference on the 68-player list.

The 2018 MAAC Offensive Player of the Year and an All-MAAC First Team selection, Kearnan enjoyed a standout season in his final campaign on Main Street as he led the league and ranked among the top 10 players nationally in both assists (3.06) and points (4.88) per game.

Kearnan, the 2018 MAAC Championship Most Valuable Player, established both school and league marks with his 52 assists while his 83 points were the most in league history and the highest output for a Golden Griffins player since the program's inaugural campaign in 1990. He tallied multiple points in all 17 games played and recorded five or more points on nine occasions.

Despite only playing three seasons at Canisius, Kearnan finished his career ranked among the program's top 10 in assists (91/2nd), points (180/5th) and goals (91/9th).

The IL All-America Teams were compiled by more than 20 people who cover lacrosse regularly and were tasked with honoring the highest performers this spring. It is the second season that the publication has selected postseason all-America teams.
