Dally Becomes First Player in Program History to Be Selected in MLS Draft

CHICAGO – Quinnipiac men's soccer senior forward Rashawn Dally has been selected by FC Cincinnati in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft on Monday, Jan. 14, 2019 at McCormick Place.
 
Dally – who was taken by Cincinnati with the first pick of the third round (49th overall), becomes the first Quinnipiac student-athlete to be selected in the MLS SuperDraft.
 
Dally recorded 16 points and 15 assists in his career with the Bobcats, playing in 78 career games - which ranks tied for No. 5 in program history. He tallied six goals and six assists in 2018 to finish second on the team in total scoring (18 points). Dally recorded 15 points (five goals, five assists) in MAAC play.
 
He participated in the 2019 Adidas MLS Player Combine from Jan. 3-9, 2019 in Orlando, Florida – be coming the third student-athlete in Quinnipiac history to be selected to participate in the combine, joining Graciano Brito ('08) and Freddy Hall ('10).

Quinnipiac men's soccer went 10-6-3 in 2018, posting an 8-1-1 mark in MAAC play. Dally and the Bobcats advanced to the MAAC Tournament finals, falling vs. Rider by one goal. Quinnipiac won 10 of its last 14 contests to finish the season, outscoring opponents 29-12 in that span. The program has appeared in the semifinal round in each of the last three years.
