Quinnipiac's Young and Siena's Pickett Collect Pepsi Zero MAAC Men's Basketball Weekly Honors
Player of the Week
Cameron Young, Quinnipiac

The MAAC's leading scorer poured in 53 more points last week for the Bobcats over two wins. He recorded 26.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists for Quinnipiac, shooting 19-for-22 from the free throw line this past week. Young recorded 33 points in QU's win over Monmouth, then 20 more points with five assists on Sunday versus Fairfield. The graduate student is now averaging a MAAC-best 19.6 points per game this season.
Rookie of the Week
Jalen Pickett, Siena
Fr., Rochester, NY/Aquinas Institute (Spire Institute (OH))
Pickett stuffed the stat sheet with nine points, eight assists, six rebounds, and a pair of steals in the Saints' come-from-behind road win at Marist Friday night. Pickett scored all nine of his points during the second half, as he helped rally Siena back from a seven-point road deficit with eight minutes to go. Pickett's five MAAC Rookie of the Week awards are the most by a Siena freshman since Kenny Hasbrouck won the award eight times during the 2005-06 season.
