Canisius’ Reese and Siena’s Pickett Collect Pepsi Zero MAAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honors
Player of the Week
Isaisah Reese, Canisius

Canisius junior Isaiah Reese averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 assists, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.0 steals per game as the Golden Griffins went on the road and won two MAAC games at Quinnipiac and Fairfield. In the win at Quinnipiac, Reese posted 11 points, a season-high nine assists, four rebounds, and a career-best four blocked shots. He also became the program's 38th 1,000-point scorer in that win over the Bobcats. Against Fairfield, he scored 15 points to go with nine boards, seven assists, and two steals. He shot 40.9-percent from the floor, 36.4-percent from 3-point and 80.0-percent from the free-throw line.
Rookie of the Week
Jalen Pickett, Siena
Fr., Rochester, NY/Aquinas Institute (Spire Institute (OH))
Pickett continued to excel in all areas last week, averaging 16.0 points, 6.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks over a pair of games for the Saints. He scored 15 points and added seven rebounds, six assists, three steals and a pair of blocks on Monday versus Monmouth. On Thursday, Pickett scored 12 of his team-high 17 points in the second half while adding seven assists. He tallied eight of Siena's final nine points over the last 2:35 to seal the win over Niagara. Pickett is the second player in the last three seasons to collect six Rookie of the Week honors, joining former Quinnipiac Bobcat Mikey Dixon in 2016-17.
