NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Junior Taylor Cole of Iona Volleyball has been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Division I First Team.
Cole has a perfect 4.00 GPA while pursuing a major in political science. She is a member of Iona College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, soon to-be three-time MAAC All-Academic honoree and constant presence on the Dean's List. Cole is the Vice President and Co-Founder of the Political Science Club, a member of Iona College's honors program and Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society. In 2019, she was an Iona College Scholar Athlete of the Year. Over the summer, she was part a study abroad game program in Barcelona, Spain.
This season on the court, Cole is averaging a career-best 2.03 dig per set average. She has 28 service aces. Cole has appeared in 25 matches and played 88 sets.
This is the second straight season Iona Volleyball has been recognized on the CoSIDA Academic All-District Division I First Team. Last year, Claire Archibald '19, Jessica Paolucci and Jamie Smith were all representatives on the All-District Team.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if applicable) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
