Player of the Week
Kaylie Butts, Fairfield
Jr., Tampa, FL/Henry B. Plant
Kaylie Butts hit an electric .653 for the Stags in two MAAC wins this past week, totaling 33 kills with only one error on 49 swings as Fairfield dispatched Siena and Manhattan. Butts averaged 4.71 kills per set, hammering home 14 on 22 errorless swings (.636) against the Saints and 19 on 27 attempts (.667) against the Jaspers. She rounded out her weekly stats with five blocks to post a total of 5.14 points per set.
Libero of the Week
Nashally Eleutiza, Manhattan
Jr., Orlando, FL/Monroe College
Eleutiza averaged 6.25 digs per set this past week, totaling 50 digs over two matches. She earned a perfect reception percentage for the week, committing no errors in 56 attempts. She earned a match-high 30 digs against Quinnipiac on November 2, just one off her career-high. The junior tallied 20 digs in three sets against Fairfield on November 3, averaging 6.67 digs per set in that match.
Rookie of the Week
Morgan Romano, Rider
Fr., Oviedo, FL/Hagerty
Freshman Morgan Romano was stellar on both sides of the ball once again for Rider last weekend in home MAAC wins against Canisius and Niagara. Romano recorded a pair of double-doubles and averaged 6.00 kills per set, 4.29 digs per set and 6.57 points per set. In a four-set win against Canisius, she had 25 kills, 16 digs, two service aces and two total blocks. Romano ended the week with 17 kills and 14 digs in a sweep of Niagara. Romano leads the MAAC in kills, kills per set, points and points per set. She ranks in the top-four in the country in both total kills and total points. She is the first Rider player with over 440 kills in a season since 1993.
